Blubbing at The Apprentice – plus, who do you want to win?

I’m not ashamed to admit I actually cried when Joanna was sacked from The Apprentice last night. Not because I wanted her to win but because I felt so sorry for her. Hopefully she’ll take Lord Sugar’s advice on board.

But anyway, now there’s two left in the running to be Lord Sugar’s apprentice. Chris is obviously incredibly bright but for me Stella English is the winner. She didn't have a very good start in life, she is someone who has worked her way up when she really had nothing, and of course she’s a mum.

 And of the two, her voice annoys me the least. Who do you want to win, and why? I’d love to know.

    Have thoroughly enjoyed this series; some great characters. The follow-up show with Dara has been fantastic too. I agree, I would like Stella to win, though Chris is needing some direction at the moment so would probably do well in Sugar Towers too!

    Hiya! Sugar picked the right two finalists, although I have to have sympathy for Joanna, who received the gentlest firing in the history of history itself, but still burst into tears anyway. I was half expecting Sugar to race round the table and offer her his hankie. (He’d have only tried to charge her for the service, though.) Stuart’s firing was brutal – but, let’s face it, it’s the moment we’ve been waiting 11 weeks to see! Oh, how we’ve missed Margaret! The line of the night (as she talks about Chris’s academic achievements):

    Stella to win for me … she’s really proven herself and I thought she handled the interviews incredibly well. Chris may be very academic but not convinced he has the same drive and self-motivation as Stella clearly has. I love the fact that Stella has worked damned hard to get to the position she is currently in …. girl power !! haha

    It’s not something I feel able to comment on as I’ve only seen snippets of it and know nothing about the hopefuls. However, I did watch it last night and couldn’t believe the arrogance of some of the candidates, Stuart Baggs for one. He is so very young yet seems to think so much of himself. I wonder how many knocks he will take before he actually realises he comes across as someone people will try to avoid. I had to laugh when I saw him on BBC Breakfast this morning (Thursday), sat with one leg over the other, very confident, cocky and brash. He seems to have no respect for people and I could imagine him as a cold-caller, trying his best to sell something technical to someone like me who is a complete technophobe. In fact, the more I think of it, the more I’d like him to try….!!! LOL. CJ xx
