Oreck XL3 upright vacuum cleaner, with Multi-Vac canister – product review

"This is a great looking vacuum cleaner – it looks like something out of the Fifties, but it’s incredibly light and easy to manoeuvre. It even has a light that comes on when you’re vacuuming in dark corners – how handy is that? It was simple to use and stores away easily.

 

And it does pick up really well – I tried it on various bits of paper, cat hair and dust and wooden floors and it did the lot, no problem.

The drawback is that you can’t really do the stairs with the Oreck XL3. That’s where the Multi-Vac comes in – this is a super, nifty little vacuum that’s super strong (apparently it can pick up a bowling ball, but we didn’t test that out!).

Depending on how much storage space you have, having to store two vacuum cleaners could be a bit of a nuisance. Luckily we have quite a big under the stairs cupboard (although it’s a bit messy) so I absolutely love the Oreck XL3."
