Rock The Cradle – Organic Cradle Cap Oil £7.50 reviewed by Jenny Flyte from Bristol, mum to Jake 2.

“My son has had really bad cradle cap since he was born and we have tried everything. Special shampoos, olive oil every day (which smells terrible and doesn’t work for us) so I was keen to try Rock The Cradle. Billed as a gentle, moisturising blend of organic oils with organic geranium essential oil it smelt 100 times better than anything I’ve used before.

The instructions said gently massage a few drops into the scalp to soften and nourish the skin. My only gripe was the oil was hard to get out of the bottle (not good when you have a squirming child on your lap), but having said that the oil (unlike olive oil) was easily absorbed and didn’t leave his hair looking greasy.

I left the oil on all day and by the time bath time came round I was surprised to see the cradle cap was already soft and lifting off. This then made it easier to remove the flakes with a fine tooth comb. After using it over a few weeks my son’s head is relatively clear for the first time in months. I highly recommend it.”
